Position Summary Information

Objective

>To perform the day-to-day operations of the instructional programs in Therapeutics Manufacturing

Essential Duties

• Teaching duties to be divided as needed among Therapeutics Manufacturing courses as qualifications permit, but not to exceed 29 contact hours in any week
• Demonstrates a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence
• Maintains access to students through posted office hours and electronic communication
• Maintains current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilizes a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources
• Evaluates students’ performance through a variety of means to measure progress and keep them informed in a timely manner
• Provides recommendations to the Academic Dean, Assistant Dean, Department Heads, and Curriculum Resource Team regarding curriculum
• Demonstrates a positive and professional relationship with students, colleagues, college administration, and the community
• Exhibits a commitment to lifelong learning through participation in professional development activities
• Possesses a passion for teaching community college students
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and orally
• Utilizes the college LMS to post grades and other course resources for students
• Attends departmental and division meetings
• Completes all course grading in a timely manner and according to college and program policy
• Responsible for other related duties as assigned

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Credentials to teach multiple types of therapeutics manufacturing courses

• Knowledge of therapeutics manufacturing or biomanufacturing processes including vaccine cGMP

Preferred Experience and Training

• College teaching experience
• Experience working in therapeutics manufacturing or biotechnology or biomanufacturing fields involving cGMP

Physical Requirements
Required Degree, License or Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a discipline closely related to therapeutics manufacturing or biotechnology or biomanufacturing
