Position Summary Information

Objective

Provide instruction in utilizing social or online media in business. Areas may include blogging, web design, Facebook, Twitter,and up-to-the-minute social media platforms. Do not need to be proficient in all areas, will hire multiple candidates from single posting.

Essential Duties

Provides lecture and hands-on instruction in area of expertise.

Follows published schedule of classes.

Covers all course competencies in instruction.

Develops, grades, administers and facilitates quizzes, exams, hands-on practicums or other tools used to evaluate student progress.

Maintains knowledge of, and exhibits, current methodology in area of instruction.

Manage classroom activities by enforcing standards, rules and regulations.

Recruits students and maintains active student enrollment through quality classroom instruction and student communication.

Provides feedback to division on course progress, suggested improvements, or problems that may impact program quality or stability.

Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated expertise in area of social or online media platforms/technology.

Experience utilizing skills in a professional environment or for professional purposes.

Presentation skills imperative.

Demonstrated proficiency in English; Written and verbal skills.

Preferred Experience and Training

Work experience utilizing social media.

Teaching experience.
