Position Summary Information

Objective

To lead the development and maintenance of an effective assessment culture that supports continuous improvement at all levels and in all functions of the College; to provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff that support accreditation processes including the QEP; to assist the Dean in managing accreditation processes such as SACSCOC reporting

Required Quals Summary

-Bachelor’s Degree
-Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
-Experience with accrediting agency regulations and requirements.
-Experience with best practices in assessment.
- Experience with assessment software (i.e., SPOL, TracDat, WEAVE Online, etc.)
- Experience in higher education planning and evaluation processes

Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities

1. Administer college-wide assessment management software, train College staff in use of software and in the development and execution of robust assessment plans

2. Use assessment management software to track completion of assessment plans and related tasks by College units

3. Collaborate with the Dean to oversee the College’s strategic plan, and institutional effectiveness processes, and SACSCOC reporting including the QEP

4. Analyze institutional, state, regional, and national data related to institutional effectiveness measures

5. Lead the program review process for instructional and non-instructional programs

6. Coordinate, administer, and analyze surveys (internal and external) needed for institutional effectiveness and other assessment initiatives

7. Collaborate with instructional and support units to develop methodologies that are effective in assessing student-learning strategies, learning support, and learning outcomes.

8. Provide feedback to program leaders related to continuous improvement of outcomes, operations, and processes based on assessment results

9. Plan, organize, and conduct meetings, seminars, and training for faculty, staff, and administrators related to assessment and institutional effectiveness
