Position Summary Information

Objective

To assist the Financial Aid & Veteran Services Office with daily work activities.

Essential Duties

Assist the front counter by answering parent and student questions, answering telephone, distributing mail and keeping work area clean and supplied.

Will scan documents into image system.

Make copies, assemble financial aid or veteran paperwork, and assist office staff as needed.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be making satisfactory academic progress with a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.0 and a 67% completion ratio.

Ability to maintain confidential information within the Financial Aid & Veteran Services operational area.

Must be Work-Study eligible (see the Financial Aid Office or their website for more details: https://www.blinn.edu/finaid/fed_work_study.html).

Must be enrolled as at least a half time student (this includes all Blinn campuses and internet courses).

Preferred Experience and Training

Customer service orientation, ability to work with a diverse student body, possess and maintain a calm, even-tempered, mature presence in a stressful work environment.
