Position Summary Information

Objective

The Event and Fundraising Development Support Specialist is responsible for administrative and creative support for DSABV’s fundraisers and special events. The ideal candidate MUST be able to handle details for multiple priorities and events in a calm manner. Multi-tasking is a huge part of this job and being able to juggle multiple tasks, events, conversations, etc without letting stress take over is key. You will work with parents of our members on fundraising and social events. Being comfortable with people with Down syndrome is important, but it is also a skill we can help you learn.

Essential Duties

We are looking for someone with self-ownership and leadership skills. If you have the administrative skills, like to work in a team environment with other student workers and the community at large, know how to organize yourself, can ask for help, share your thoughts and opinions and take correction, please apply for this job! Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

● Have the desire to be part of the team creating social events and fundraising opportunities for DSABV members and the community at large
● Like challenge of keeping multiple priorities and events going while planning for the future
● Strong organizational skills for you and others, able to prioritize well and able to dive in and figure things out on your own
● Maintain strong professional and positive demeanor
● Flexible, self-directed learner
● Effective organization skills (using Google environment)
● Able to work independently without supervision
● Able to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
● Knows and lives the values of honesty, confidentiality, trustworthiness and integrity
● Experience with people with Down syndrome or other intellectual and developmental disabilities is helpful, but can be learned
● Required to attend all the CSP Student Development Trainings
